Introduction to Bellydance class offers posture, isolation and basic movement and technique instruction.  Each class gives you the opportunity to dance and have fun!

Wear something comfortable, gym or yoga type clothes work well, bare feet, and a scarf tied around your hips and you're ready to go.

Each class will start with a warm up, shimmy drill, and instructor guided review.  Two to three new movements will be taught, and then we end the class with dance time and a cool down.

  • Shauna Instructor

    Shauna Shauna has had a passion for dance all her life. She has dabbled in many forms from hip hop to ballroom but was primarily trained in ballet, jazz and modern for 10 years at Alberta Ballet School (later Dance Alberta). In 2008, after becoming a mom, she took her first belly dance class to get out for a fun activity and her love affair with Middle Eastern belly dance began. She has studied extensively with Aurora at Move Studios and other local instructors such as Aldiya and Anya and has had the privilege of attending workshops with internationally renowned stars such as Nath Keo, Sadie Marquardt, Hadia and Aziza. Shauna is excited to now share her love of this art form with students of her own.
